Brooke Beytin
Born in: San Jose, California
Brooke has been coaching CrossFit for a little over 5 years, but her fitness journey started long before that. She played on the US National Youth Soccer Team, competing throughout the states and Europe. After a knee surgery led her to step away from playing soccer, she pivoted to coaching her university's soccer team. During graduate school, Brooke explored the world of female bodybuilding, studying its psychology and coaching in that space for a few years before eventually finding her passion in CrossFit.
What inspired her to become a CrossFit coach? CrossFit dramatically changed Brooke’s life for the better—especially how she saw herself. With her extensive coaching and teaching experience, she wanted to give back and help others find the same empowerment through CrossFit.
Her favorite CrossFit movements include power cleans, pistol squats, and handstand walks (on the days when she nails them!). And while she now excels at gymnastics, she couldn’t do a single pull-up or push-up until she was 27—something she’s incredibly proud to have overcome.
At CrossFit Rx, Brooke enjoys the supportive, relaxed, and open community. She believes everyone at the gym truly cares for each other. Her advice to new members is simple but powerful: "Everyone wants you to succeed and improve. If someone doesn’t, that’s their problem, not yours."
When she’s not coaching, Brooke draws from her expertise in the psychology of competitive sports, especially helping athletes confront and overcome their growth areas.
Fun Fact: In addition to her passion for fitness, Brooke teaches college courses in a state prison once a week and has an unexpected fear of turkeys!
