Lets just say that I finished the damn thing! Thanks Amy for not letting me quit! I wanted to. I was the last to finish at 47:47, but getting done is good enough for me! Reply I’ve cried at the gym. Several times, including during the Filthy Fifty on my fiftieth birthday, although that time it wasn’t just crying. It was actual sobbing. Reply I’ve cried. I try to keep it to a quiet whimper, but it has happened on occasion. Sometimes the choice is either quit or cry & keep going. Good job passing the mental test. Took it light and rested a lot, so it wasn’t as brutal as it is intended, but it was an awesome workout. Reply You are my prego hero! Reply Jessica, you totally rocked your pregnancy! And btw, I can relate on how hard it is to come back. WAY harder than I ever expected. I thought without the baby weight it would be a breeze, but I underestimated how much having a baby impacts everything. Take it slow and don’t be too hard on yourself. It took me a full year to even get close to whrer I was pre-baby. And then I got pregnant again!! Reply Oh Amy. I was crying too! I’m so glad I’m not alone. This was brutal. I’m still exhausted. Time = 39:30 HSPU almost all unbroken except for one break in last 2 sets – getting ready for Saturday! Thrusters @ 65# K2E were all unbroken! Love the kip Emily taught me – makes a world of difference. DL @ 175# then 155# last few sets KBS @ 35# Pull-ups: worked on that butterfly – definitely saves some strength I think. Boy, was I WRONG! 41:50, Pike Pushup, 45# Thrusters, Knees toward elbows, 85# DL, 25# KBS, purple band pullups Oh, and burpees…..OUCH!!! Reply Joey, Steve, Harold, David and the whole crew all cried after this one a few weeks back, but then we hugged and expressed our emotions over some tea, went shopping and felt so much better!!!! I love crossfit! Reply Did this as reps scaled thrusters to 75#, everything else RX 255 Back to the 6p class. Awesome. Reply 6PM did this a bit differently. 40 sec limit per movement. Got 277 reps at 95# thrusters, 55# KB and 205# DLs. Had to skip the last 2 DL rounds bc my back was failing me. Killer WOD. Loved it now that it is over. Reply Great job to those who came in and invested their time, strength, & will in a very challenging WOD today…whether it was for time or for reps (“Sevens Gone Bad” style for you 4-5-6 o’clockers) it was a mental & physical test you will not soon forget.
