What is CrossFit Foundations and why do I need it?
Our CrossFit Foundations Series is required for all new members. During the two hour-long classes, you will be instructed in the basics of CrossFit – why we do what we do and how we go about doing it. It is of paramount importance to understand and practice good technique and form mechanics before ramping up the intensity.
Each Foundation class covers two of the sections outlined below and lasts approximately one hour. The series is scheduled on an individual basis; however, 8am and/or 4pm M-F are usually the best times.
If you have previous CrossFit experience, and can demonstrate your facility with the program, you will not be required to complete this series before purchasing a membership.
Part 1 – Introduction to CrossFit. What is Fitness?
What about nutrition?
Part 2 – Press basics and progressions.
Part 3 – Squat basics and progressions.
Part 4 – Deadlift basics and progressions.
The Foundations Series is $200 for the two hour-long classes, which are offered on an appointment-only basis. Let us know what times will work for you, and we will do our best to accommodate!
As long as you are in the process of attending the Foundations Series, you are welcome to join as a member and begin daily WODs. We will modify workouts if necessary to limit the exercises to those you have already learned, and will add exercises as more Foundations modules are completed.
