  1. Wish me luck…I’m off to slay Family Fued!

    • AND THE SURVEY SAYS!?!?!!?
      Do it!

    • Go get ‘em, slayer!!!

    • for real???

  2. I love the Mobility WOD blog! Thanks for sharing it.

    Good luck, Kelly!

  3. Frustrating WOD this morning. Started strong with 12 unbroken thrusters in round 1 but then completely lost my ability to do thrusters and my motivation. Finished Rx in 11:04 (2:04 slower than last time). Congrats to everyone who posted PRs this morning.

    • Going solo ain’t easy Dude…I blame Paige and Sarah ;-) Don’t sweat it, there will always be another date with FRAN!

    • There would be nothing worse than doing Fran solo!

  4. Fran bitch-slapped me hard. It was the first time I ever did it RX (yay!), but man, it was S… L… O… W.

    18:40

Back in May, I did this in 12:16 using the Rx weight and tiny band… don’t think the pullups made me that much slower today… thrusters killed me.

But, thanks to the early crew for convincing me to finish!

    • Mazey, I’m just glad you got all of your pull ups in…that was huge! Working off of the floor is a bit more challenging also, but you’re better for it. Now, remember I need at least one more day from you this week. Make it happen :-)

    • great job this AM!

  5. Last time I did Fran on 1/9/10 I tried REALLY hard to set a new PR, but I missed it by 6 seconds. This time I didn’t try to PR, and I PR’d by 32 seconds!

    5:03 RX PR

    Rd 1: 21 unbroken thrusters, pullups 13/4/4
    Rd 2: thrusters 10/5, pullups 6/5/4
    Rd 3: thrusters 5/4, pullups 4/3/2

    or something like that….

    • That was really amazing — I was so jealous when you were lying on the floor after 5 minutes!

    • You are amazing! Congrats!

    • Wow. That is FAST!

    • Judging by the way it looked, you could do it tomorrow and cut another 15 seconds….if you could just see the clock while you were working. I was convinced that your PR had to have been around 4:45 or so. There is a faster FRAN close by…Gr8 job ;-)

    • Very, very nice!

    • Insanely great!

  6. Rx’d at 8:12 (possible PR?)

Previous time was 7:12 with 88 lbs (due to shoulder issue)
    Previous Rx time was 9:56

    • Awesome!

    • Again, your potential is a little faster. I noticed that the cleans got you a few times. Next time, just squat clean into your thruster and it will save you some energy and time. Yall did a great job…and it was cool that your support was there this time!

    • Oh yea, that IS a PR too…

      • Great! Thanks for the tips, Damon.

    • Congrats, Mike!!

  7. OK, trying to insert a link…check out the picture….

    • funny picture

      • OK, click on the “funny picture” above…sorry, not too good at html.

      • OMG, that IS funny!

      • Uh oh and I’m missing a workout right now!:(

  8. Everytime Fran visits I just can’t make it in to the gym.Crazy as it sounds — I really miss her. Haven’t met up with her in over a year I think.

    • Oh, and really want to try the Mobility WOD for this and other things. Sounds great.

  9. Yes, Fran must be done in a group. Thanks Paige, Martha and Mac. RX – 8:35. PR for me, but my biggest success was not whining about thrusters.

    • Fran is a mean girl. Best not to face her alone. Good job on the evil thrusters!

    • That’s fantastic, Bryan!

      • Ditto–and thanks to you all for the encouragement!

  10. Previous:
    9:14
    Today:
    7:19 (PR)

The first set of thrusters were unbroken. I was amazed at how much that affected my arms on the pullups. Although with the huge PR, I will take that knowledge with me for the next Fran meeting. It is nice to be lying on the floor “recovering/still suffering” a little after 7 minutes.

I think for next time, I want to start being able to get those pullups unbroken. Just need practice.

    • Whoo hoo!

  11. 16:18

    76# thrusters

  12. So…slept too late to join Aaron at 7:30 and was happy to see Martha, Mac and Bryan (and Laura!) at noon. Last time I did Fran it was 60#, red band and a looong 17:01. Today, thrusters at 55#, tiny band and then red for last two rounds of pullups, and time was 11:00 and something. Laura let me call it a PR. :) But the rest of the noon crew really kicked it! Mac was a machine.

    • PS. Time was 11:09

  13. Did this one today.

    Previous Fran:
    55# thruster
    tiny band pull-up
    =21:41

    Today:
    55# thruster
    Rx pull-up
    =16:57
