HQ Rest Day

  1. Comedy! I can say that b.c that’s me in the forefront… now I know to run and hide when Laura is walking around with that camera! Anyway, here’s to the next picture of me doing HSPUs being framed against the wall… :)

    Box Squats 8×2 at 65% of 1RM
    65% of 221 = 144
    4 sets at 147
    4 sets at 169
    147 seemed light and Christin thought so too, so I did the last 4 sets at 169.

    5 sets (1 min btwn sets) for max reps:
    Floor Press, 55#: 35,22,17,18,17
    CTB Pullups with green band: 12,10,10,10,10
    Total: 161

    8 x 2 box squats @ 65% of max back squat weight. 65% of my BSQ max was 63.5#. Rounded up to 66# for ease in building the bar: men’s bar + 5k plates

    Then, 5 sets to failure of
    Floor press 55#: 10, 8, 11, 11, 12
    CTB PU, green: 12, 10, 9, 8, 9

    Total = 100

    I think this one was good for me….first I was humbled, then I rocked it (at least for me)

    Box squat shows my poor posterior chain (was depressed)
    8X2 76 lbs

    But then got to ROAR!

    5 rounds max reps of close grip floor press
    chest to bar pullups

    30, 25, 22, 20, 20
    10, 8, 7, 7, 6

    Total 156
