damn. i’ve thrown up both times I’ve done this wod. damn. damn .damn
I couldn’t put it off any longer so I met Fran again this AM.
10:21 (previous PR 11:23)
Thrusters much better 10/6/5; 6/5/4; 5/4
Pullups 2-3 at a time.
nice!
7:54
Previous PR 7:13 from Janauary.
Today I used the black band for pullups. I’ve been using red+tiny. Tiny wasn’t available and the black band seemed about the same as red+tiny. In January, I used blue+tiny.
Thrusters were strong. Unbroken on 21 and 9. R15 was broken 8/7. This is same as last time, but I felt stronger on these than in January. I lost time on the pullups today…couldn’t string many together today.
Awesome!!!
Damn, them’s some awesome thrusters!
17:01
Okay, this was super slow, but Laura tells me I get to not be disappointed because the thrusters at 60 lbs were 12 lbs heavier than last time we did Fran in January. On the first round I was down to two at a time. Used the new red band for pullups and probably could have gone with the old red, but it would have taken…even…longer.
I disagree that this was “super slow.” The problem is that EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING WAY TOO FAST. Show-offs.
Rx: 9:00
4:25 improvement from Jan 9, 2010
nice! I so want to do Fran today, but think we will focus on the Team WODs….
Wow, impressive!
Rx at 9:02 not bad considering the burn in my legs from yesterday’s heavy squats by five. 2 minute PR.
Saw the posted wods for regionals. I think our affiliate team is going to do just great and you as well Laura! Sounds like you’re going to kill some of those individual wods! I’m EXCITEDDDDDDDDDD
Are you coming?
nope! I wish. Not really a smart move financially for me. Pobre.
lo siento…comprendo….
fun Power Hour today playing with Fran…thanks again Bryan & Buddy for letting my jump in with you guys & to Kelly for lifting some heavy stuff afterwards while i made-up yesterday’s backsquats (never much fun lifting alone…PR’d on both wods)
also, Individual & Team Regional WODS are printed out and posted under the weight-conversion chart so everyone can check out what’s on the menu
Totally excited for the weekend! With the time cut-offs, these are gonna be really tough!
you all are going to KILL IT down there!…after watching how hard all of you train in “the box”, i’d hate to be your competition out there in “the wild”!!
now GO Get IT! (and send us stuck in the ATL a twitter update now-n-then)
As predicted by two out of three coaches, I am very awfully extremely wildly terribly madly hideously sore. I may rest today. Still haven’t decided …
6:36
Felt strong the for first set but that feeling left all too quickly. Laura and Nick, thanks for pushing me.
Fantastic time!
OMG…animal!
You looked awesome!
Last time I did this Rx in 9:56, but my bum shoulder balked at the Rx weight today so I used 88 lbs and did it in 7:12. According to the power output calculator that’s still a PR for me.
like!
OMG! I thought I had died after the rows tonight….but a good PR…not exactly sure what it was but somewhere close to1:50-ish…for a shortie, that’s not bad
Will send pics from Jax!
I so agree w/ Therese on this… the row sprint is alot harder than I ever thought. I hit a PR too (1:36 on the first 500) but the 2nd 500 was probably much worse. I don’t think I’ve felt that kind of burn, well, ever…
Off to Jacksonville (via Chicago!). See ya there!
Um. Yeah. Don’t know what else to say other than agree, agree, agree. CRAZY HARD! Anyone know our total time for the 3000?
I thought I saw 11:05 at the end of our rows, but then again I also thought I saw both of my legs light up in flames about the same time, so I don’t know which one was real, if either.
that was supposed to be responding to Sheryl’s question…
hmmm, flaming legs…no more posting after midnight for you
Good luck down South everyone!!
15:29 (red band, 76 lbs)
Second full Fran. Last time 13:33 or something this time as rx 9:14.
Didn’t really warm up and shoulders did not want to work on first 14 thrusters. I can definitely go faster.
11:54 RX
Woohoo! First time ever doing Fran RX.
9:59….Thanks to Trish.
55# thrusters
tiny band for pull-ups
21:41
Was just glad to be done!
