  1. How did she get like that? How?? I can’t figure it out.

  2. Great picture!

  3. Hey folks – all you paleo eaters and nutrition geeks may find the new work I have in a show at the GSU gallery of interest. The opening is this thursday Feb. 4. 5-8 p.m. at the GSU art gallery.

    :=)

    • Thursday is a rest day. How perfect!

  4. 155# Thrusters
subbed pullups & dips for muscle-ups

    31:47

    *all thrusters were unbroken

    • Holy crap Miguel!! that’s awesome. I have my work cut out for me today!! Great job.

  5. 110# thrusters
    pullups (red+tiny)
    dips (blue)

    39:21

Thrusters were very heavy. Started out with 3/2 on round 1. By round 2, it was 2/2/1, and by the last round it was One. At. A. Time.

    • Correction: round 1 was unbroken.

    • You looked so strong!

  6. Time: 34:53

    Thrusters 66#
    Blue band for pullups
    Red band for dips

Thanks Damon for the encouragement on the 66 lb thrusters. Gotta dig deeper on the ring dips…

  7. 5 rounds

    5 thrusters 70 lb
    15 pullups
    15 ring dips
    400 m run

    34:32

Thrusters were mostly 3 + 2 but still hard (actually failed on the second last one : (
First time doing dips since my injury and it shows, I did them all as singles, failed a few and likely didn’t get down as far as I should on many of them. But pullups were good. I did 12 + 3 or 8 + 7 on all but one (7 + 5 + 3).

  8. Uninspiring WOD (or perhaps uninspired effort) today.

    5 rounds
    5 thrusters @ 120#
    15 pull-ups
    15 dips
    400 m run
    49:42

Tried rowing muscle-ups my first round. Got the first one, then missed ~6 in a row before Damon decided I’d tried enough.

Did a lot of singles and standing around resting on on the thrusters and ring dips.

    • Don’t be discouraged, man! You did the work. You’ll be stronger for it.

  9. Thrusters 54#
    Pull ups red & red
    Dips red
    Ran unassisted!
    32:51

    • Hahahahaha! I ran unassisted, too! :D

      • Me too! Always pleased when I can run unassisted.

  10. 55#, red band for pull ups and dips. 42 minutes.

It was cool working out with Erica. She runs so fast fast fast fast fast.

    • you’re funny. i enjoyed working out with you yoo!

      • oops, meant you TOO!!

  11. 41:52

    5 rds:
    95# thrusters (all unbroken)
    Rds 1-3: muscle-ups
    Rd 4: 1 MU + 12 pull/12 dip
    Rd 5: 15 pull/15 dip
    Run 400 m

first time doing MUs in a workout. Really wished I could have finished it out, but after failing many, many times I decided to bail and finish with pull-ups and dips. I got 16 though and am extremely happy about that. I was pretty spent so dips were one at a time. thrusters felt very heavy but I managed them unbroken. the run felt like such a nice break!!

    • Great job Erica. That’s impressive!

  12. 5 Rnds:
30 air squats (in place of thrusters ’cause my lower back is still on the fritz)
    8 ring row MUs
    400 m run

    22:??

…and today, during warm up, I got a muscle up :)

    • Actually, it was a STRICT muscle up…all strength on this one!!! Congrats again!

    • Trish is the COOLEST.

    • it was awesome to see. great job!

      • Thanks, ladies! Your intense efforts yesterday evening were inspiring!!

  13. Great wod today. Made all 155lb thrusters unbroken. Waited 15 seconds between muscle ups and ran down the hill for my 400m run. Felt great doing it! as RX 24:59

    • unbelievable

    • Awesome, Zeke.

  14. 110 lb Thrusters
Subbed pullups & dips for muscle-ups

    31:29

This WOD was a big smack-down to my confidence. Couldn’t get MUs today, thrusters felt really hard, dips were tough. But tomorrow’s a new day…

    • Tomorrow is run backwards day!!

  15. 33:13, 76#

My muscle ups felt a lot better than they have in previous wods. I got my old kip back and my rhythm felt pretty good. The thrusters were heavy, and I need to work on stringing them together better. Up until round 4 they were all unbroken.

  16. 110# – felt better than that rowing and heavy thruster combo recently.

    muscle-ups were good in this workout… 24:21
