Yeah, it’s not like my hands are shredded up or anything.
I refuse…it’s not happening…screw you HQ…I am boycotting pull-ups…my hands say “no more!” haha.

It’s official. I miss the gym and all you gym peeps. My big ride in Tucson is this coming saturday, after which I am a dedicated crossfitter once again! I have been keeping up with all of you via the blog – keep up the awesome work!

That’s 13 seconds slower than 10/11. I wasn’t feeling mentally tough this morning, and my goal was just to do it. Better next time.
I forge my time….I just know I didnt beat Zeke, but I did “Angie” last night. #30 pull-ups followed by sets of 6,7 or 8…pushups started with 50, then sets of 5-10, sit-ups were unbroken and squats sucked! Cant wait for the defining crossfit WOD “Fran”. Just to put myself in perspective

Yep, something like that. I PR’d by 1:47. Damon was teasing me about the last we did Fran. I was staring at the bar and you caught me! (lol) It is always fun to work out with speedy people like you. I think I would have gone faster. Maybe next time.

Damon said that’s the last time I can do the thrusters at that weight, but I swear it felt plenty heavy.
95# with blue band. 12 minutes and some change.
I think that’s the first time I’ve completed Fran with the rx weight. Due to my crummy front squat, I’ve always dumped out of it in the past in frustration.

Wasted 2 seconds bending down to pick up my timer before my last set of pull-ups; note to self: if I’m taping my workout, DON’T WASTE TIME PICKING UP MY TIMER! And STOP BREAKING UP PULL-UPS so much during the 15 and 9 rounds!
As a final note, I was not laid out, writhing in pain afterwards like I usually am, which only means I did not work hard enough. No reason I shouldn’t do sub-4 next time, darn it!
I think my FRAN time has come & gone as I’m getting slower & slower. Today I was 6 seconds slower than last time. i’m most disappointed with round 2. I need a better strategy cuz what I’m doing is not working. I feel strong & awake so I’m wonderig why I dont improve.
Holy crap…I just dug up my last Fran time from 12/3/08, and I did it in 9:36 with a 45# dumbbell for swings. This time I did it RX and shaved 4:01 off my time! I had no idea I had it in me. Thanks 7 am crew for pushing me – and thanks Kristy for setting the bar so high!

Hi everybody! I’m amazed by everyone’s athleticism…it’s bananas! Y’all should make a visit to Tampa to offer some inspiration. They think I’m so strong down here…ha! They have no idea…I hope everyone is doing well
First time doing Fran at Rx weight:
9 minutes and something (don’t have my book with me)
That’s about a minute longer than my first time with Fran last month, but a big 14 lbs heavier, so I’m satisfied.
Question: If you’re slower than last time but complete it at Rx weight for the first time is it considered a PR?

Hmm… just a slight difference in horsepower: .13 today vs .12 last time. That’s kind of surprising; it seemed a lot harder today. So what does that mean? Should I drop down in weight and try to go faster and with better form or is the object to always go Rx if possible?
That means you PR’d, Mike. Higher horsepower means more work done.

As rx 9:12, a pr by about a minute.
So…instead of boycotting pull-ups, I went ahead and did more of them for Fran. Tried to string together thrusters better…still took a lot of breaks though and my form could be better. Haven’t been very motivated lately…but I’m working on it.
I wasn’t sure how today was going to turn out since I wasn’t feeling well…

Thanks for pushing me Laura and Damon. First round was unbroken; second round of thrusters were 7/8 instead of 5/5/5 while pull ups were 5/5/5 like last time; I’m disappointed that I had to drop the bar during the third round to end up 5/4 while pull ups were 5/4. I felt like I put forth maximum effort but improving my time will get harder from here.

did this a few days late, fighting a little cold this week, and working way too hard at work. Worked out a friend’s home crossfit gym, very nice.
