Isn’t this the workout that you were just talking about this morning? Your good at it . . . and you hate it all at the same time?
yes…I need to start keeping my big mouth shut.
Maybe we have a mole at Rx…
Yeah, you are not allowed to complain about this one ; )
At home 55 lb,
7 rounds + 5 thrusters + 7 HPC
Last time I did 8 full rounds but I was at the gym.
However, I am working hard on form and could hear Laura in my ear saying “arms straight” and “tight back”
Glad its over!
Rx, 66#
8 rounds + 5/7/4
I’m pleased with my performance today. Not a PR, but I am heading in the right direction again. Previous performance on this wod:
8/25/09 – 7 rounds + 1 thruster
6/19/09 – 8 rounds
10/20/08 – 9 rounds
All thrusters were unbroken but slow. Try to speed these up next time with a more powerful movement from the hips. For the first few rounds, all cleans were unbroken, but mid-way through I started to break these up. Next time, aim to do all cleans unbroken…that should be do-able. Aim for 5/5 on the SDHP. Limit rest between each of the lifts by counting breaths.
44#
7 rounds + 5/7
Struggled a bit with remembering the correct lifts (first time). I think I need to push myself harder, I think I could have done 8 rounds.
I always try and get a few more reps each time I do this WOD. Today, for some reason, it didn’t feel quite as bad as it usually does; I got the first two rounds completely unbroken.
As Rx’d with 66#
14 rounds even (PR; got those last 10 SDLHPs I missed last time)
OK, so stop “complaining” lol! you are awesome!
nice job laura. that’s so impressive!
55lbs, 10 rds plus 3 thrusters.
i have mixed feelings about this workout. i got the same exact number of reps as last time so there is a small part of me that wants to do this again (but not anytime soon) to get more reps. then there’s the part of me that never wants to do it again.
tomorrow’s rest day feels well deserved
note to self-try to minimize rest next time!
good job Hwang! You rock!
thanks!
is there a tpoole2?
First time doing this wod as RX
66#, 4 rds, +5+6
Really didn’t want to come in at all today…slipped and fell and busted my ass yesterday giving myself a nasty bruise and sore swollen thigh. Was pretty happy to just finish the WOD, to be honest. Glad to go RX though, that’s an improvement. I second that a rest day is well deserved and needed! I feel like a beat up, sore, old lady.
Omg! Sorry about the fall. Nice job going rx!!!
Yay! Rx is always good!
55# 8 rds, slight improvement from last time. Thx to Brian for pushing me.
Note to self: keep back tight during sdhp, lower arms then body.
I was impressed with everyone I saw doing today’s workout. Especially you women doing Rx’d or close- congrats! My brain was struggling to wrap around what I was supposed to be doing much of the time, and it was good practice on the form. Don’t think I’ve ever done thrusters in a workout. I look forward to doing this when I can go a little heavier.
32# 10 rnds + 5 thrusters & 5 HPCs
This one was a big mental challenge for me (ok and physical) but the last time we did this one I tweaked my back in Round 2 and was out a week. Today, I faced the SDHP for the first time since and finished with 6 Rds, +5 thrusters, +7 hang cleans, +7 SDHP. I’d like to say I was slow to work on form, but not sure I could have gone much faster. What a great turn out at the gym though.
32 lb, 9 rounds even
Did an alternate WOD to rest an injured knee:
200 jump rope + 21 knees to elbows + 21 HSPU
200 jump rope + 15 knees to elbows + 15 HSPU
200 jump rope + 9 knees to elbows + 9 HSPU
