  1. Saw this stuff at Publix today…

    Baconnaise!
    http://www.baconnaise.com/

Their tagline – “Everything Should Taste Like Bacon”

Confusing, because there’s no bacon in the spread :???:

    • Awesome. Everything SHOULD taste like bacon… the best part of Paleo:)

    • Unfortunately, it likely to be an artificial flavor…in my home town, there is a company that specializes in making “flavors” and its my understanding that they make all of the flavors for flavored potato chips.
Seems like it would be easier just to put bacon in it….

  2. Hey Peeps. I am not feeling well since yesterday afternoon. Terri had a similar “am I coming down with something?” experience last week and it passed without developing into anything. Here’s hoping this is the same…

  3. Time…10:27, Deadlifts: 87lbs. Never done the handstand hold before…kinda cool.

    • Oops, wrong time! 10:59, not 10:27. How can I forget this stuff between the gym and my house across the street??

  4. 13:14
    155# Deadlift
Subbed Ring Dips (blue) and HandStand Hold for HSPU. I did this on 5/16 in 12:46, but I subbed modified pike pushups for the HSPU’s…so not a strict comparison. Still, I would like to be faster!

  5. I thought I had done this WOD in May….

I felt real strong today, but NOT quite as strong as I was forced to feel…Kelly!

    Time: 5:02

The first round felt real good, but I knew my depth in the HSPU’s were a little suspect. I’ve finally learned an efficient kip, but I’m wondering if I should adopt Ian’s thinking when it comes to kipping HSPUs. I’ll consider strict HSPUs from now on.

All in all, a great WOD and an even better crew to wod with. Thnaks guys, it was a lot of fun this morning.

    • I did this WOD with Kelly and Zeke… and really tried to keep up with them. I have a LONG way to go on that march:) I think my time was 9:28, and probably pushed a minute or so faster because Kelly and I were doing deadlifts face to face and I was trying to match the pace! Ha.

  6. Somebody gave Coach Glassman my list of weaknesses and he’s been making me work on all of them lately…

As Rx’d with my usual 160#
    10:39

PR’d by about 4 minutes today. Since the deads are never my issue, and I only broke the set of 15, I will have to credit faster HSPUs for my improved time. One day I want to be able to rep them out like Zeke, Kelly and La Mar

  7. 7:56 (PR by almost 2 minutes)

Deadlifts were unbroken..all HSPUs were strict but last 3 took close to a minute which is way too long. Always fun working out with Ian…overall, pretty satisfied with my time.

  8. Did an alternate workout due to stupid elbow. 21-15-9 good mornings (54#) and strict presses (43#). Disagreement between mom and dad about whether presses were safe for stupid elbow, which is a bit sore now, so maybe mom was right. 11:58

Cool seeing everyone get upside down today!

  9. Felt good to be back in the gym today. Thanks for the encouragement this morning. Deadlifts felt good and the ring dips are getting better. Now to work on the handstand push-ups! Mike, awesome job today!

    • It was great to see you! Buddy is a sweetheart.

  10. At home:
    90 lb deadlifts
    pike push ups

    forgot to set timer…oooops! lol!

  11. 15:28
120#, assisted HSPU with two blue bands.

DL felt fine, most time was spent on HSPU. I still have a hard time being aware of body movements when I am upside down! It’s like, I get my feet up on the wall, and then beyond that I can’t tell if I am leaning, too curved, too hunched over, too something! Need to devote more time in warm-up to practicing these so I can just feel when I am in the right position.

  12. This was my second workout ever with HSPUs. Did them assisted with a blue and a red band. The first dozen were easy; after that my body just wouldn’t cooperate. Took way, WAY too long but I felt good to actually get through them all. Also felt good about making it through the deadlifts without hurting my back (three at a time, per Laura’s suggestion).

    Deadlifts at 132 lb.
    36:40

  13. My lower back is sore
