  1. Mmmm. No kid gloves here – I predict this is quite a heinous and utterly painful WOD. For those with weak constitutions we can scale the rounds, but for those who have penance to pay for eating/drinking this holiday weekend, or for those who love themselves some pure, unadulterated CrossFit, I humbly suggest embracing the pain.

    • Yikes.

  2. I’m not going to make it in this morning. I’m feeling sad and weepy because my good ol’ cat, Teddie died yesterday. Burpees make me cry under the best of circumstances…just don’t think I could bear this workout today. Maybe I will do it later on my own so I can cry all I want to.

I look forward to reading everyone’s comments about how awful this wod is.

    • sorry to hear about teddie! that really sucks.

    • I’m so sorry, Pat. My poor old cat is over 16 years old now; they play such an important role in our lives, and it’s never easy to say goodbye. Remember, you can always come and hang out at the gym to watch and be around other people; you don’t have to work out…

    • Sorry about your cat, Teddie.

I get a bit weepy about our dog we had to put down a few weeks ago.

Pets become loyal, non-judgmental family members.

    • Poor sweet Teddie. Joby’s right. Pets are our best friends, no matter what.

    • Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the supportive comments.

Laura, I almost came by the gym to hang out for a bit. If I had seen your comment, I surely would have. You know how I love talking to and visiting with everyone. ;-) Next time, I’ll know that’s ok. Thanks!

I came up to my little rustic cabin for a change of scenery. Maybe I’ll feel like a mini-version of today’s wod later today.

Thanks again for all the kind words!

  3. G-O-A-T. Almost quit after the fourth round. That extra jump at the end of the burpees sucked the life out of me. Felt every inch of my height and every pound of my weight on this WOD.

  4. Somedays, you just focus on surviving the wod…

Felt slow today…watched Zeke put up an amazing time.

    • …man, if I had to reach the target you were jumping to, I’d need a ticket on Delta ;-) Nice work L!

  5. after seeing all of the great energy @ CFRx this morning (holy cow Kelly & Zeke!), I felt compelled to double-check something when I got home…turns out my front room ceiling is just over 12″ above my standing reach…which is GOOD because I’m never ever repeating this WOD :-) (well, at least not until i forget about the pain & certainly not when I’ve just cooked bacon for my kiddo in the adjoining room…mmmm, burpees + bacon-smell=sheer torture): 26:59
can’t wait to see what’s on the menu manana :-D

by the way, Happy Birthday Joy!

  6. Did 3 rounds with a 9″ target because I’m not the best jumper. I think this WOD improved my burpees, which have been pitiful.

Joy celebrated her birthday by smoking 3 rounds of this WOD. She is fast and tough.

    • nice stick-to-it-ness today terri…i’m gonna call you “tenacious T” from now on :)

      • Ha!!! I’ll work on my kangaroo-ness for next time, so I can be Springy T.

  7. Thanks for the well wishes. And my condolences for the loss of your dear one, Pat.

This was the perfect WOD for my birthday- thank god for scaling. (3 Rnds; 6″ target) 16:51

I thought 3 rounds couldn’t make too much of an impression but was surprised when I got home, headed to the shower and thought, “Is it possible I’m still winded?!” I’m feeling some soreness now, too. But it’s all good.

    • Happy birthday, Joy!

  8. 30:48 — I thought that was fairly decent until I read all the other times. Nice work, everyone!

Pat, so sorry about your cat.

  9. I honestly would rather fight Kimbo Slice before I ever did that again…At least with that, being 230 lbs would be helpful :(

  10. So sad about your dog Joby and your cat Pat! Ugh!!!! Huge loss I can imagine! And then add this fun workout :0! Yikes!

  11. That wod was a lot of fun. I have this strange way of counting, and I broke it up and worked on the burpees.

Good Tip: Laura said to sprint the first run…DO IT!! It works!!

    Time: 22:42

  12. 40:40, why did it take me so long? Ugh!

  13. I agree, this WOD felt never ending…6 rounds, really? Main thing to improve for me is my running…needs to get faster. I end up lightly jogging instead of really pushing myself.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet Pat…I hope she/he lived a long and happy life! Oh and happy late birthday to Joy!

  14. 33:39 — tough workout!

  15. 3 Rounds: 23:57

  16. happy belated birthday joy.

and sorry to hear about your cat pat.
