  1. Never thought I’d say this about a run, but yay!

    • Now that it’s almost time to do it, I take it back! Not yay. Boo!

      • 36 minutes, which is 3 minutes faster than in July.

        Yay!!! (I’m so fickle.)

    • Legs are so sore and tired….

      24:05 done on a 200m track (too much turning but at least it was flat!)

      Realizing that my 5K route at home may be a bit short (my times are usually about 20-30 sec faster) ;)

    25 reverse burpees
    25 push ups
    50 box jumps 28″ brick wall (was concerned about the wall…if you miss, you break a bone or lose your teeth)

    …tough workout but I had to take full responsibility for it since I came up with it.

    • Goodness. I hope they don’t ask you to help with programming. If it took you 41 minutes, I don’t even want to think about it. ;-)

    • Good WOD… I laugh because one time I came up with my own workout and it was a personal torture session I wasn’t quite expecting…

    • Reverse burpee???? how does this work?

          • bahaha…Walker Texas Ranger…that was hilarious! I have to say, I like that he has the beginnings of a quality mullet goin on. Business in the front, party in the back.

        • oops, got the name of the exercise wrong…one of the reasons we have you. I will say that I felt uncoordinated doing this particular movement for the first time.

  7. I’m planning to do the 5k in my neighborhood either later today or tomorrow morning. I was going to do it this evening for sure, but I went for a loooong, unplanned walk with my friend, Erica during lunch. I was ill-prepared; I had on flip-flops, and we hoofed it all over Candler park for an hour and 40 minutes. I feel like I have rips on my feet, but it’s just the start of a really good blister on the sole of each foot. Clearly a pair of Vibram Five Fingers or even plain ole running shoes…anything…would have been better than my flip-flops. My feet are complaining!

    • You can do a 5k Row then… that was my sub today because I really didn’t want to run.

  8. Ran from my house to the gym and then did the regular route over there. I think it works out about right. Its been awhile since I have ran a 5K…times to seem to hover around the same place.

    I ran in the reverse direction today. It was cool and lightly drizzling and I felt really good.

    I think. Posting this several days later because I was trying to forget about it. Problem doesn’t seem to be wind; it’s the leg fatigue that makes it so miserable. Maybe listening to music would help, maybe cooler weather would help, maybe I should give up on being a good runner – blah! :roll:
