My handstand fears include: falling over and landing on something metal, pointy, and/or otherwise hazardous; sustaining serious injury; winding up in a wheelchair; winding up in an institution where I’m forced to watch Wheel of Fortune; winding up on the street due to financial ruin due to enormous medical bills. But that’s just me. You’re brave to work on handstands! I’ll get there, too, one day.
Not sure if I was going to do this one today. OHS and snatches are the worst movements for my shoulder, but it felt OK today, so I went ahead and gave it a shot.

Might have been able to get more, but didn’t want to push my luck…maybe next time I will be fully functional and able to get bodyweight
Surprised myself on this one. My arms hyperextend, so OHS have usually felt wobbly, weird, and uncomfortable. My arms felt stronger supporting the weight and so I just kept adding weight till it was past 7pm and I had to go!
Last time I did this one I got to 44, which was way back in Jan I think, so this was a good strength day for me.

Note:did 60 twice cause didn’t get enough depth in squat on first attempt
The “failures” were all on the 3rd squat and were not because the weight was too heavy. It was more like I got overly excited about being almost done so I spazzed out. I’m pleased with what I did today considering previous PR was 38 for Overhead Squat x 5 on 6/2/09.

Sorry to have to miss this one…
Thanks Damon for helping me try to get the assisted HSPU yesterday….I will keep working on my balance and overcoming the fear (of what I am not sure).

Lol Terri, I could probably deal with the Wheel of Fortune but the financial ruin would definitely suck
Thanks for the congrats and support to all.
Laura and Damon, thanks for giving me tips and going over drills with me to achieve the goal.
At home:

On third round, I did not straighten my back enough and the weight fell forward.
55-60-65-70(failed on 2nd)-70(failed on third)
65-70-77-80-82×2
(failed on 3rd rep at 82#’s as I let the bar drift forward a little).

First time doing this format…

Still amazed by how many small details you have to execute with OHS. Damon noticed my left heel rise during the last set which threw everything off.
