  1. nice pic sara!

you called it laura. another 20 minute amrap!

  2. OK…I created a CrossFit Rx page at beyondthewhiteboard.com. It’s a little challenging to navigate, but it’s got a lot of interesting tools, too. Check it out!

  3. Yeah, what is up with the 20 amraps this week? WOW, how to tackle this one….yikes!

And awesome pic, I see now what it means to “jump it up”!

    • Hey, what is the 2 pood weight and is there a women’s Rx weight….will be doing Wod at home and want to sub as best as possible : )

      • 2 pood is approx. 70 pounds.

        Women’s rx is 55 pounds.

What are you subbing for the muscle-ups?

        • Isn’t the sub 7 pullups and 7 dips? I don’t have kettlebell either…I usually do dumbell swings to sub…Maybe I’ll do a different workout now that I think about it ;)

          • Each round would look like:

            6 pull-ups
            6 dips
            4 handstand push-ups
            8 55lb dumbbell swings

If you sub a different workout, try to stick with a 20 min AMRAP with pushes, pulls and something heavy…that way you’re still in the same ‘theme’ of today’s WOD

  4. Just got in this morning. I want to apologize to those that were in early today. My car wouldn’t start this morning so I had to wait for AAA. I wanted to let the early ones know, but didn’t know how. Once again I’m sorry. Mac

    • Hi Mac. Believe it or not, *I* was there at 6 this morning. Miracle! I’m glad to know you’re OK. Decided to go on into work and then leave early for the 4 p.m. session, so it turned out fine for me. (Note to morning crew: I did it! I got up early! Ha!)

      • And by “morning crew,” I mean everyone who comes in the morning, including but not limited to Judy.

      • terri! i slept in this morning. see you tomorrow morning?

        • Most likely, yes, because I’ve got an after-work event tomorrow @ 6. Let’s see if I can get up early two days in a row …

    • I finally attempted to get back on the straight & narrow by getting up and heading in this morning. I can’t say it made me sad when the lights were off and the door was locked and I had to go back to bed.

      See yall Friday.

      • So, so sorry, Allison. It won’t happen again.

      • Sorry Allison. That was my fault.
        Mac

  5. does anyone else have bruises from yesterday’s workout? my chest/collar bones are all sorts of messed up!

    • YES! yesterday beat me up! bruises on my collar bone, tops of my legs, and hands. that is nothing compared to how sore my entire body is.

      • agreed! maybe i’ll see you this afternoon!

  6. So sore it’s silly.

10 rounds + 2 MUs and 4 HSPUs (PR; didn’t get those HSPUs last time)

Monday I PR’d on Cindy by 10 reps, yesterday I PR’d by 7 reps, today, by 4…I’ll take the little victories :)

    • You’ve had an excellent 3-day run. Very nice.

      • Thumbs up!!!

  7. Nate: 6 rounds
-subbed pullups (blue+tiny) & ring dips (blue) for MU
    -subbed pike pushups for HSPU
    -scaled KBSwing to 44#

    MTHOOI
(Modified the hell out of it!)

    It’s been a tough 3 days. I’m glad for a rest day!

    • I love that! I would have to do too many mods, I didn’t even do it : ) Maybe tomorrow on rest day.. :)
GFY (good for you! and terri too!)

  8. Scaled to pull ups, ring dips, and pike push ups, 35# kb: 7 rounds plus 6 pull ups, 6 ring dips, and 1 pike push up.

Did 9 rounds last time but used a red band for ring dips and pull ups this time instead of blue.

  9. I am so sore! These 3 days of AMRAP is ridiculous! I am sooo ready for a rest day!

“Nate” with two blue bands for hand stand push-up modification, and used the 44# kettlebell (although looking back, I think I should have gone for the 55#).
    5 rounds + 1 muscle up.

    • you go with your muscle ups!

  10. Nate (RX):
12 rounds and 4 2-pood KB swings short of 13 rounds. Connected everything except HSPU. Had to kip after round 7.

  11. 15 rounds + 2 MU’s + 4 HSPU’s. Didn’t think a PR was within my reach considering how my body felt. Its been a solid week! Monday PR by almost 3 rounds, Tuesday by 2 and some change and Wed. by 3 and change.

  12. 8 rounds:

    - 6 pullups (green)
    - 6 ring dips (blue)
    - 4 pike pushups
    - 8 KB Swing: Not sure of the weight–the medium sized one in between the small one and the one designed for a giant.

Think I tweaked my lower back on the swings, but these things happen when you’re elderly.

  13. 6 pullups
    6 ring dips, skinny band
    4 hspu’s with blue/half black (blue equivalent)
    8 55lbs kb swings

    6 rounds, plus 6, plus 6, plus 3 hspu’s

first time with 55lb kb swings…felt heavy! i’d like to get unassisted ring dips soon.

    *wear chuck taylors next time

  14. 6 pullups
6 ring dips, red band – use skinny next time
    4 pike push ups
    8 44lbs kb swings
    9 rounds
Need to work on dips and handstands along with everything else!

  15. 6 pullups (tiny)
    6 ring dips (red)
    4 HSPU (blue with blue)
35lb kb swings (need to go to 44 next time)

    5 rounds.

    Did on 8/27

    Happy Laura? I blogged.

  16. Modified
6 pullups, 6 ring dips assisted with tiny, 4 pike push on box with knees, 8 kettle 55
