  1. Laura D: Didn’t I hear you predict this workout today?

    • Or maybe it was yesterday.

    • I did! I did! Inevitably, CrossFit follows a “rip yer hands” WOD with a heavy deadlift day…tape up and get it done! ;)

  2. Tape up is right!

  3. I ripped 4 blisters – is there enough tape?

  4. Thanks for the”Intensity” post. Just getting around to reading it. Been MIA because of work. Long hours working on a new biz pitch…See y’all tomorrow.

  5. I love heavy deadlift day. =0)

    DL 5×5
I started too low, so I actually did 6 lifts.

Finished 30 pounds over my previous 5-rep PR back in February (although I haven’t tried a serious 5RM for over a year)

    • oops…should say 35 pounds over previous…

  7. Not bad after a night of mojitos and beer!

  8. Great job, Zeke. thanks for posting your numbers. you know I am always curious.

    Joe, where are yours? ;-)

  9. Remember to keep eyes on York. 110, 132, 142, 149 x 4, 149 x 3

    • I think I lifted about 87% of my singles weight today. My PR for singles is 163. The chart shows 139 as 87% of 160, and I did 142 today. Interesting.

      • Awesome! It’s funny, isn’t it? I just guessed with the 80% thing this morning; when I got home I saw that 285 (what I got today) is right at 87% of my 1RM (325). I suppose the chart is there for a reason!

        • It must have been based on tons of observation.

  10. Good to be back after being off for about a week and a half…

    308, 330, 352, 374, 401 (PR by some amount)

…real close to last single rep max

  11. Hmmm…just looked up some info online and figured everyone should be shooting for around 87% of their 1RM for a 5RM…I was off by a few percentages!

Here’s a chart you can check out to estimate your own weights!
