    I wanted to know how this rates on either Paleo or Zone.
    Apple pie has: Dates, walnuts, unsweetened apples, almonds, raisins, cinnamon

    Cherry Pie: Dates, almonds, unsweetened cherries

    Choc coconut: Dates, almonds, walnuts, unsweetened coconut, unsweetened cocoa powder

    Is this a good price for coconut oil?

  8. The Larabars are an “OK” choice. Real, fresh food is always the preferred option. The more processed, the less ideal the food. Although the Larabars are made with a minimal number of ingredients, they still consist mostly of dried fruits, which carry a high glycemic load. They also lack a bioavailable source of protein (nuts are NOT a bioavailable source), making them an incomplete meal option.

    So, good in a pinch, but they should not be looked at as a daily food item.

  9. Thanks, that helps. For me they would be good if I have to travel and am not able to get something non-dried or real. I liked the idea of those paleo kits. I had beef jerky I made along with almonds and that helped when I had a flight delay of 2 hours.

    So if I buy the box I will have to control my intake to when I do not have another option readily available.
