Went to CFNA before biz trip. Felt a pull in right groin and had to stop. This may be the byproduct of earlier nicks because it didn’t feel like the chain was firing properly. Need to shut it down for a few days.
A couple of those looked more like push presses than push jerks. I’m learning. After the workout, I showed Laura my notebook where I’d written my weights and said, “My numbers are tiny.” She said, “That’s because you write small.” Ha!!!! Laura is funny. And then she reminded me that when I started CrossFit, I could barely lift the bar. I forget these things. Judy says I have “guns.”
Terri you also have Triceps…how ’bout them apples. Allison great job. I finally broke the 70kg mental barrier. Due to my ROM issues they are all split jerks.

Sometimes the best trainer input is almost missed. Today Laura noted my prep time was too long and that I was working while standing there holding the bar. My defense was, I need that time to get psyched but she stated emphatically that this was the wrong approach. Prepare before you touch the bar, grab and go. Attack it. The bar will suck the energy out of you.
She was right*. Last rep felt stronger than the previous 3. Shoulder’s yelled a small protest but seem good to go.
Thanks Laura.

So, I experimented with Behind The Neck Jerks this AM. I found success, but not sure it’s the way to go.

I eventually got through the workout in spite of my brain’s attempts to mess with me and freak me out.
