CrossFit is all about quantifiable progress. But how do you quantify improvements in health? Blood tests are one way to track what’s going on with your body when you work out hard and monitor your nutrition. We’ve posted info on blood tests before, but of course, Mark’s Daily Apple always says it best -

Mixed it up a bit:
Deadlift/Pull-up Ladder
1 DL, 2 Pull-ups, 3 DL, 4 Pull-ups, etc.
used 187# for the DL
14 rounds + 8 DLs (57 DLs/56 PUs total)
Go Judy!~
8 + 4, blue and tiny. Used gloves. Not sure whether they helped or not. Thanks to everyone for help and encouragement with kipping experiment!
as Rx, 10 + 5
Way to go Terri for working on your kip…you’ll be swinging on that bar before you know it!
9 rounds + 6 with blue band.
GLOVES? Terri! Did you get made fun of? Let me know how that goes…..the ripped hands are NO FUN!
Yes, Emily, there definitely was fun made, mostly by Will C, who couldn’t stop staring at them. He was completely mesmerized by the sight. I’d tried the gloves before and so already knew they’d be frowned on. Last time,I got a lecture from Damon and a try-it-and-see from Laura. I keep thinking they’ll help me hang on better, but my hands sweat so much inside the gloves that I slip anyway. I’m ready to give up on them now.
Emily – that is so FUNNY “did you get made fun of?”
9 rnds +2 black and red bands.
round 9 was pretty marginal.
terri has sweaty palms. ha!
Deadlift (255 lbs)/Pull-up Ladder
11 rounds + 9 pull ups (so close to finishing 12 rounds yet so far)
and to Judy, nice rack! How could I resist.
Yes, I am getting my butt in there tomorrow. No more excuses!
