  1. Paleo Report, Day 5: The Honeymoon is Over

    Breakfast = Bacon and eggs (didn’t enjoy; wanted oatmeal)
    Lunch = Spinach salad (sick of salad AND spinach; wanted pasta)
    Snack = Panic attack
    Dinner = Chopped sirloin with side of … spinach (ick; wanted pizza)
    Dessert = Crying jag

  2. Terri, I made this recipe last night and my wife, who doesn’t normally like asparagus, LOVED it.

    Just sub some mini shitaakes or other dark mushroom for the morels since they are hard to find (and usually expensive).

    The farmer’s market has about 8 million different types of veggies, so don’t just get stuck on spinach.

  4. Terri omg you are SO funny! And BRAVE for sharing your true thoughts — it is so helpful to complain to each other & commiserate — we gots to comfort each other!
    You are doing good. Fats help to make your belly not-so-angry hehe.
    I’m sure Laura & William are sick of me every day asking something or gripeing about SOMETHING. It’s hard for a cosmo-girl to turn cavewoman HAHA

    In looking at your menu, I’m wondering…where are your nuts? Where is your fat? Like Kath said, it’s very important to keep up with the fat or you will begin to experience hunger, irritability and increased risk of injury…human beings need fat to live! We can’t survive on protein and carbs alone…

    Laura: I’d be delighted to add more fat! Yay fat! I’ve been eating almonds as snacks whenever I’m hungry, but the only other fat has been olive oil. That’s probably not enough. I’ll start eating avocado, which I love. And almond butter with apples.

    Today is my rest day. I may rest tomorrow as well (HQ rest day) because I want to sync up my schedule with the HQ schedule. I will be assimilated …

    In other news: I’m going out to lunch today!!!!

    p.s. I love my gym and my coaches and all my gym friends. (I’m feeling better!) xo

  9. I know this sounds weird, but zone says take all your food at once — like medicine. So it’s best to eat a meal with the nuts at the same time. Then it mixes up in ya belly and makes good chemistry! ;) It’s helped me tho… especially mentally. My mind is a bigger adversary than my stomach lol.
