Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-ups
For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.
Post time and number of sets to completion.

OMG, is all I could say this morning. Dont remember ever seeing this WOD and 10 rounds at that. HHHMMMM…I’m at a loss…see you guys tonite. Laura, I started on the food log for the cert and the results are/meal: 4 blocks carb, 2 blks protein, 13 blks fat. However, this does not include the doctor recommended daily amount of medical Guinness which is required for my liver to function at optimum performance.
?? I’m at a loss too. Damon wrote 150 pull-ups on the board, which took me 21:34 (the first 20 pull-ups with blue and red; the last 130 with green and tiny).
Glad to know someone else is on a daily beer Rx! My doctor has prescribed Sweetwater.
I’ve been reading some posts from some buddies of mine and they are not getting past the 1st 2 rounds with the 45 lb dumbells…UGLY. Give me some details as to what is happening at Rx, Laura? Damon? I’m scared.
Will, why are you eating more carb blocks than protein?
Also, I did this workout and the wrist help up nicely. I completed 3 rounds without falling off the bar, then fell off numerous times. it took me 19:50.
sorry about that Mike, let me revise that its 4 blk protein, 2 blk carbs, 13 blk fat. It was 0500 when I posted that. Glad to hear the wrist was good, especially on this WOD. OK, so once you fall of the bar then that particular round is over? So if you get the weighted pull ups done and fall off on the regular pull ups do you not do the kipping PU’s?
Wow. The strict pull-ups killed me!
As Rx’d
30# for the weighted pull-ups
30:39; 49 sets
Not a good day for the Heavy Weights!!
First 2 rounds were unbroken, then it got rough!! After round 6, went to a 30# vest for 8 reps and 7 without…the 45# got to be a bit much.
28 Sets, 42:37
that picture is GREAT! hahaha I almost look like I’m actually going to do a rep lol.
I don’t get how you got 49 sets when we’re supposed to do 10 rounds(?) — if I interpret that right, if you fall off the bar, then you can’t count that as a “round” but you start over and that’s a “set”?
Kath, it’s 10 full rounds. Coming off the bar terminates a SET, not the round. So, for example, most of my rounds were:
3 weighted pull-ups
DROP
2 strict pull-ups
DROP
2 strict pull-ups
DROP
1 strict pull-up
DROP
7 kipping pull-ups
hence the ridiculous 49 sets to complete the 10 rounds.
I’m scared..
I am finally back from out of town. My first reaction to this workout was, “this seems like fun.” Something tells me I might have a different take on it after doing the workout! See ya soon.
Okay all I gotta say is, if I woulda counted my sets, the number would be like… a million.
37:58 — only the 1st set was unbroken. And only the first 2 sets were with 30#. HolyfrikkinCRAP. Then it was 20->15->12.5# — I refused to drop to 10.
3 rips later…
On the other hand, I am zoning perfectly.
Jeepers, that was evil like “evel kneivel” who was the monster that came up with that one? I’m glad tomorrow is a rest day…OH no, wait…never mind. I can’t move my arms. Why do my legs hurt?
Rx: 27:43, 34 sets.
I need a Guinness
dude…my legs hurt too. It’s because you were leg curling a 45lb dumbbell for 27 minutes.
LOL! It’s true!
