  1. I have now done “Nicole” four times, and each time I manage to get seven rounds. However, I’ve managed to double my pull-up numbers since my first “Nicole” last year :)

    7 rounds
    20, 10, 9, 8, 10, 10, 10
    Total: 77 (PR by 10)

  2. Well everyone knows my love for running, that’s why I always get 5 rounds with “Nicole”

5 Rounds plus my 6th run.
    21, 11, 13, 11, 12
    Total: 68 (PR by 3)

After this series, I am no longer calling the 4th day a “rest” day. I’m going to call it what it is and that is an “attempt at recovery” day.

  3. Everyone knows that if there is one person who loves running more than Damon does, I am that person. I haven’t actually run at the gym for maybe three weeks (whenever jump rope became a warm-up option). Today is going to be awesome.

The only reason I am going to the gym today and not faking a communicable disease is because I need to make new grips.

  4. How in the world do you do 7 rounds?!?!

I am huffin and puffin after 4.

I am right there with you Damon I could only could get done with 5!

managed to throw a good number up though. 115

  5. Hey, ‘cake.
Where are your number of pull-ups for each round that are supposed to be posted to comments? You are 2 for 3 this cycle. I know that Meatloaf says 2 outta 3 ain’t bad, but I think you should set your goals higher. Go for three. You can do it!
    :)

  6. Hey GG:

(If I had your email, I would email you, but I don’t, so I will have to blog again…)

Go to the CrossFit Atlanta blog for today and scroll down and find the post that talks about an article about beautiful women. Read it. Print it out and post it in an obvious place in your life. Read it any time you need to; any time you are feeling like not enough or not good enough or like you are not what you are supposed to be.

I am not putting the link here. That is on purpose. Go look for it and find it and read it.

  7. hi QF. you are right. I was studying and so I am late.

4 rounds, 15 pullups (blue and tiny bands) per round.

I think that is 60 pullups.

But as getting by on 5 hours max of sleep a night times 6 weeks, not sure about math (also dropping pronouns and articles).

But, I know that top five causes of infectious proctitis, and we all know that’s what really matters.

  8. also–thanks qf for the link. awesome. I have printed it.

    you were running faster today.

  9. A) How do you know I was running faster? I don’t post my time to comments because I just read an article that says if I am not getting money then I shouldn’t be driven by numbers.

    B) Shew! I have been suspecting that my mild diarrhea with a lot of mucus is, alas, not related to CrossFit. Maybe I have infectious proctitis. Perhaps on our next workout/ chat session you could tell me the top five causes and I can see if any ring a bell. I am like a human index card. I will call out my symptoms and you can diagnose me. It is all part of being on the team.

  10. A) don’t need times. I had to work harder to stay with you than when we were starting out on that 15 (6) K in July.

    B) give me another few days and I’ll be able to tell you everything you never wanted to know about intestinal parasites, too…

  11. DUDE! I love me some intestinal parasites. In fact, I was considering a tape worm instead of the Zone. Read up on it and let me know if that seems like a feasible option for me.

(And you might have just finished a benchmark workout when you joined me on my “run”!)

  12. Laura, thanks for the shout out. It was good to see you and Damon and get some play time with you guys.

  13. As always, thanks for having us, Dan! :)
