After the Challenge, we all went out to lunch. Marie wanted dessert…but, I think it ended up being a little larger than she expected! It was ginormous!

Each year in the United States Navy, a highly qualified and elite cadre of Sailors are selected and promoted to the join the ranks of Chief Petty Officer. Since 1893, “The Chiefs” have been relied upon by subordinates and superiors alike for their personal example, technical expertise and above all, their unique leadership capabilities. As the induction process for newly selected Chief Petty Officers is now underway throughout the US Navy, we thought it appropriate to inaugurate “The Chief” in honor and recognition of all past and present CPOs. Thanks to them and their families for their self-sacrifice, ability to adapt, tireless dedication to mission and devotion to country.

  1. Interesting to note that in the video they state the women’s Rx is 85 pounds, or 63% of the men’s Rx. Normally, the women’s prescribed weight is approximately 70% of the men’s.

  2. I wanted to try this one, but legs too sore from Saturday, and a 1500m run didn’t loosen me up enough to want to do squats. SO I decided to see how much I could bench press, b/c I miised that workout. I managed to do 3 with about 7o pounds, and got (a wobbly) one with 80, and I am very happy with that.

  3. That felt a lot like “Cindy”…

“The Chief”: used 95# for the PC; push-ups were the weakness, as always.

    4
    3
    2 + 3 PC
    2 + 3 PC
    2 + 3 PC & 6 PU

  4. That thing was HUGE

  5. I am a consistent chief…

With 60 pounds and knees down, I got 3 or 3 and some change (3PC & 5 PU twice, 3 PC & 1 PU once.)

And, more importantly, I practiced my kip (despite my new fear of falling off the bar like a certain someone at CFAtlanta….) and bench pressed 100lbs – once.
