ok.
Helen is my very most favorite workout. I was nervous this time, b/c my last Helen ws with a treadmill instead of an outdoor run and jumping instead of assisted pullups. So nervous, in fact, that I pr’d by almost a full minute. Whoo hoo!
Ugh! I HATE BENCHMARKS! Well, maybe I don’t hate the actual benchmark workout, but I hate the pressure I put on myself to improve. Benchmarks hurt!
Anyhoo, today was our first Helen at CFRX. Just like Fran, I found myself breaking up my pull-ups way more than usual, but I tried to just jump right back up on the bar to save time. After a year, I think I’ve finally discovered that this is the best way for me to get through a CrossFit WOD; breaking up sets is fine, as long as I try to minimize the rest and keep a good pace with the work.

OK, this was another pretty good day. Helen isn’t my favorite WOD, but it is one that I don’t mind so much. I set out today to FINALLY crack the 11 min mark and I even said (out loud) that “I would even be happy with 10:59″….. I’ll be dog’on if that wasn’t my time.

Have not met Helen before.
Still haven’t, as although I was looking forward to the running, but I have one standing rule and that’s no running outdoors when there’s lightning.
500M rows instead of runs.
35# kettlebell
green band pull=ups

Laura and Damon…nice job on Helen. Good luck on the 15k!
