Pretty good day, three lifts and three PR’s!! I’m really going to have to keep working on my Back Squat if I’m going to crack 1K!! Who needs BALCO, when there is the “Rip Program” (Starting Strength)?? Scored 415kg @ The Southeast Challenge and 440kg today, I’m sold!!
BS:308 (PR +22 lbs)
SP:176 (PR +11 lbs)
DL:484 (PR +22 lbs)
Total= 968 (+55)
Oh yea! Pull Up bars are going in today….mmmmm yummy!!
Yea pullup bars!!!
Damn Laura, I just barely broke 500 how the hale am I ever going to catch up with you?! lol Fortunately I can almost shoulder-press more than I can squat HAHAHAHA
Good looking out on the Total today. The pictures of your place look really nice. I will make a point to come check it out soon.
The weekend at the Games was amazing, I would highly recommend making the trip next year even if only to spectate. Laura I think you would have done quite well. I hope to add the necessary strength to move up from 85th place next year.
Great job out there Ian, just remember 85th is a hell of a lot higher than the thousands of people that only WISHED they were there. Looked like it was a good time!!
Aw, I feel so loved! Of course, you shall live to rue the day you gave me such a title! I am so glad to be back and getting a much needed kick in the pants. Awesome.
nice ranking charts…good to know I am 22 lbs below ‘novice’. still, I’m pretty happy, even if QF left me in the dust.
I want to play with the big rubber bands more!
Lisa,
How long have you been working on those lifts? We really only worked on them during that one workout, right? That’s why you “rank” at the very beginning…you are just beginning! You can’t start at “advanced” if you have never done the lift before! Give yourself some time and some practice, and you will find yourself gaining strength before you know it! Patience, Grasshopper!
hey, I’m not complaining! I know I haven’t been doing these that long. 310 is a good start in my book : )
